The Smart Hockey Training Ball was developed in 2001. SIMULATES THE WEIGHT AND FEEL OF USING A NORMAL PUCK

The solid core is covered by a "Surlyn Shell" outer layer that leaves no marks on the surface or contact points it encounters. This combination of core and outer layer minimizes the bounce, and is reminiscent of the bounce that a regular hockey puck has. By taking into account the extra friction during off-ice training, the weight of the training ball 4.5 oz (128g.) will correspond to the weight of a normal puck used on freshly laid ice.
